Urge Your Legislators to Support the “Patient Protection and Safe Staffing Act”

As health care facility staffing becomes the #1 reason why workers are going on strike at hospitals throughout the country, it is plain to see that worker dissatisfaction in the industry, combined with plummeting nurse retention, has resulted in a crisis situation for patients and healthcare providers alike.
The hard truth is that this issue desperately needs to be addressed by our elected officials, because other stakeholders are failing to confront the crisis head on with the resources needed. The band-aid solutions that have been put forth to date are unsustainable and will do little to stabilize the nursing and other health care professional workforce in any tangible way.
Please take a moment RIGHT NOW to send a pre-written e-mail to your three state legislators asking them to become co-sponsors of this important legislation.
